Overview
Avon, Colorado’s official visitor website, designed by HyFyve and developed, hosted, and maintained by B1 Interactive.
The challenge
Discover Avon is the Town of Avon's official visitor guide, promoting the "Heart of the Valley" to travelers heading to Vail and Beaver Creek. The site covers main attractions like Harry A. Nottingham Park and the Avon Recreation Center, things to do, places to stay, getting around by foot, bike, bus, and car, public health information, and local news.
The design was created by the agency HyFyve. B1 Interactive was brought in to build it: turning a detailed, highly visual design with custom typography, textured backgrounds, color-coded categories, and many page templates into a fast, easy-to-manage WordPress website.
Our approach
We developed discoveravon.org as a custom WordPress build that faithfully matches the design, from the full-width video hero and color-coded Things to Do, Places to Stay, and Getting Around cards to the Main Attractions grid, Discover Avon category tiles, and Local News section. Each attraction and category has its own reusable template with a photo hero, breadcrumbs, and linked sub-pages, so the town's team can add and update listings without touching code.
The build is fully responsive, so every page works beautifully on phones for visitors already in town. B1 Interactive continues to host and maintain the site, keeping it secure, fast, and up to date.

Built mobile-first
Many visitors use Discover Avon on their phones while they're already in town. Attractions, things to do, category tiles, and local news all stack cleanly on mobile.
