A gallery-first website for a Vail Valley architecture firm — cinematic project video, a clean work portfolio, detailed project pages, and SEO for Vail architect searches.
Overview
Sipes Architects is an architecture firm based in the Vail Valley, designing sustainable custom luxury homes, mountain modern residences, remodels, and commercial spaces across Vail, Avon, Edwards, Minturn, and Western Colorado. We designed and built a portfolio-driven WordPress website that lets the work speak for itself, and we host, maintain, and optimize it for search so the right clients find the firm.
The challenge
For an architecture firm, the website is the portfolio. Prospective clients — often second-home owners researching from out of state — judge a firm by the quality of its photography and the projects it shows. Sipes Architects needed a site with the restraint and polish of their architecture, where full-bleed imagery and video take center stage.
The firm also needed to be found. Searches like "Vail architects," "custom home architect Vail CO," and "sustainable mountain modern homes" are competitive, and the site had to rank for them while still feeling like a gallery rather than a marketing page.
Our approach
We designed sipesarchitects.com around the work itself. The homepage opens with cinematic aerial video of the firm's homes and commercial projects, followed by a featured projects slider with client testimonials, and the firm's core values — Stewardship, Craftsmanship, and Partnership — paired with large architectural photography.
A clean Work page presents every project in a simple image grid, and each project page combines a hero video or photo, a client quote, a short narrative of the design challenge, project details, and a full gallery. On the SEO side, we built out location- and service-focused content, an FAQ section answering common questions about hiring an architect in Vail, and structured data so the firm is visible on Google and in AI search. We host and maintain the site year-round.
