Charter Sports
Multi-location ski, bike, and gear rental platform with online reservation, fleet inventory, and location-aware landing pages for every valley town.
Overview
Charter Sports is a locally owned ski, snowboard, and bike rental company with 11 shops inside resort hotels across Vail, Beaver Creek, Avon, Breckenridge, and Copper Mountain. We designed and built a fast, mobile-first WordPress website that helps skiers and riders find the closest shop, compare rental packages, and book online before they arrive.
The challenge
Charter Sports competes for some of the most competitive search terms in Colorado — "Vail ski rentals," "Breckenridge ski rentals," "Beaver Creek bike rentals" — against national rental chains and resort-owned shops. With 11 locations spread across five mountain towns, each shop needed to rank on its own for local searches and in Google Maps, while visitors (most of them on a phone, often already in town) needed to find the nearest shop and reserve gear in a few taps.
The previous site made that hard: location information was scattered, winter and summer rentals were mixed together, and online booking was easy to miss.
Our approach
We rebuilt chartersports.com around location and intent. Every resort town — Vail, Beaver Creek, Avon, Breckenridge, and Copper Mountain — has its own SEO-optimized landing page with a custom multi-location map, and every one of the 11 shops has a dedicated page with its address, phone number, hours, and a direct "Book Now" link that matches its Google Business Profile.
Seasonal rental pages separate winter ski and snowboard rentals from summer e-bike, path bike, and mountain bike rentals, so visitors land on the right equipment for their trip. A sitewide booking button, clear 30% online-discount messaging, a robust FAQ section, and an active blog all support local SEO and AI search visibility — and we keep it growing with ongoing SEO, Google Ads and Meta ad campaigns, photo and video, and social media management.
