Overview
Outdoor retailer relaunch with an inventory-linked catalog and a buy-online-pickup-in-store flow, kept fast and current under an ongoing hosting plan.
The challenge
Alpine Quest Sports is an Edwards, Colorado outdoor shop supplying technical gear, apparel, and rentals for paddling, backcountry skiing, and climbing. As the only whitewater supplier in the Vail Valley, the shop serves everyone from first-time SUP renters to class V kayakers and backcountry skiers, and its business shifts with the seasons, from river gear in summer to touring and telemark equipment in winter.
The website needed to present three distinct sports under one strong brand, show off the brands the shop carries, and make it easy for visitors to reserve rental gear online before they arrive.
Our approach
We designed alpinequestsports.com around the shop's three pillars, Paddle, Ski, and Climb, with bold photography, a rugged mountain-edge design motif, and a color palette drawn from the Alpine Quest logo. The homepage introduces what the shop supplies, then leads straight into an embedded online rental booking form so customers can choose dates and equipment in a few steps.
Each sport has its own page with gear details, local recommendations like the best Upper Colorado River runs near Edwards, and a grid of the brands the shop carries. A dedicated rentals page lists winter and summer rental options and pricing. We host and maintain the site year-round so seasonal content, rental details, and brand lineups stay current.

Built mobile-first
Customers often check rentals and gear from the trailhead or the river. Every page, from the homepage to Paddle, Ski, Climb, and Rentals, stacks cleanly on a phone with big, easy-to-tap navigation.
Inside the site
A rentals page with winter and summer gear options and pricing, and sport pages like Paddle with local river recommendations and the brands Alpine Quest carries.
Design details
An embedded online rental booking form, photo-driven Paddle, Ski, and Climb category cards, and a brand grid that showcases the gear lines on the shop floor.
